Jennifer “Jey” Quayle Carrera

Born in New Jersey, Jey moved around as a kid but attended high school in St. Louis. After graduating from Visitation Academy, she moved to Colorado for college and snowboarding. She graduated from Western State College in Gunnison with a degree in English and minors in Business and Environmental Studies. After moving back to St. Louis, she worked as an Environmental Consultant and an office manager. Her experience at those jobs has been invaluable in the creation, operation and success of Carrera Plaster Restoration and Carrera Exteriors.

Jason and Jey met at a concert at the Pageant in the U-City Loop in 2002 and they both worked there after their wedding in 2007. They started Carrera Plaster Restoration in March of 2011 after the birth of their first daughter in December of 2010. Carrera Exteriors was created in February of 2012 to showcase our exterior home remodeling expertise. We launched STLBuildPro.com in the summer of 2012 as a combined home for our interior and exterior divisions. A second daughter arrived in October of 2014 and a son joined the family in May of 2016. We consider our employees to be part of our family, too.

Jason Carrera

Born and raised in Belleville, Illinois, Jason spent his younger years playing hockey all around the Midwest and Canada. He graduated from Belleville East High School. After high school, Jason started training as a plasterer in St. Louis Local 3, where he worked for 11 years on various projects throughout the St. Louis area. He has also put his plaster skills to use on his own South St. Louis City home rehab project. With Jason’s various construction skills and experience, along with his strong work ethic, it only made sense for him to start his own construction company. Jason is an EPA – certified Lead Renovator. Besides working in construction, Jason is a hockey official and works hockey games throughout the Midwest.

Tony Howard

Born and raised in South St. Louis City, Tony began his carpentry career in his family’s business. After 10 years there, he took a job traveling the country building custom homes for 3 years. He returned to St. Louis and worked with historic preservation, commercial and residential projects for several St. Louis companies before joining STLBuildPro in 2013. With 25 years in the carpentry trade, Tony is a knowledgeable and experienced addition to the team. He can take any remodeling project from walk-through to absolute customer satisfaction. When not working, Tony enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball and watching football.
